This is the current download link:ĭownload the zip file from Įxtract the file dsound.dll into your Caesar 3 directory where the c3.exe executable lives. Search Google for "DirectX" and download from the Microsoft website. From advice elsewhere in this forum, I found that downloading the file "dsound.dll" from and copying it into the C3 directory fixed this issue as well. Once I downloaded and installed it and rebooted my machine, then it launched again fine. I totally forgot that this game needs DirectX for it to work and since I had just built this system fresh, it wasn't yet installed. so I dont remember much but I hope someone will be able to help me. The only few things I can remember is that it was kind of like simcity but with egyptians.youd have to build pyramids and all.I dont remember if youd change civilisation as the game went on. Then upon closing, it would not launch at all. It wasnt an awesome game I just cant find what it was and it haunts me. I had the issues above where it launched at first, but the audio was resetting every few seconds. If youre into simulations, Caesar IIs got the best of it - and more.Because this sim has a real game to it. I just built a new system and went head-first into running Caesar 3. Caesar II takes an award-winning game and gives it brand new life: gorgeous graphics that are a feast for the eyes, a streamlined interface, and expanded 3-D Roman city-building.
